ALTA IT has a Long-Term Contract position open for a Workday Financials Consultant.
Remote with some onsite in Washington, DC as needed Per Federal Govt Sector U.S Citizenship is required Ability to pass Federal background check is required for Level 4 Public Trust Clearance The Digital Transformation section of the Division of Financial Management (DFM) seeks the
services of a Contractor to serve as a configurator as part of the RAPID (Rapid Agile Product
Innovation & Development) team providing support of Workday Financials. This person will
provide configuration support of Workday Financials, with a focus on payroll accounting and
financial reconciliation of payroll transactions.
The teams follow a four-week sprint cycle and follow a Scrum Agile methodology.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of enterprise resource planning (ERP), Workday Financials
- implementation, and/or support experience as a configurator. Experience leading
- implementations specific to Workday Financials a plus.
- Workday certified in Financials and/or Payroll a plus.
- Detailed understanding of ERP system concepts.
- Knowledge and execution of Workday project management methodologies. Business
- analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
- Experience working on Agile teams and with Scrum methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and processes, preference of experience with
- ServiceNow Agile module.
- Strong analytical, research, and conceptual-thinking skills to visualize solutions to a wide
- variety of Financials needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to navigate organizational culture and flexibility on the application of best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities shall include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Workday Financial functional areas including Core Financials, Payroll Accounting, Procurement, Customers, Projects, Assets, Planning Design, build, test, deploy, and support systems and processes, while adhering to compliance requirements and best practices in change management
- Collaborate with technical and business subject matter experts to analyze process improvement opportunities, reduce process cycle times, and recommend changes to bring in line with industry best practices.
- Document process changes, develop training materials, and conduct user training. Ensure all documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Support review, prioritization, and testing of Workday feature releases before the changes are deployed in production.
- Troubleshoot, research, and address system issues and process challenges
Personnel Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
- 4-7 Years’ experience in leading implementations of Workday or similar financial systems, supporting Workday postproduction support services, or as a functional leader at a Workday client.
- At least 4 Years’ experience in the following: Implementing and configure Workday solutions, designing, configuring, testing, and deploying business requirements across multiple Workday Financials module(s)
