The People Analytics team

  • Integrates into the business as strategic HR analytics partners and anticipates and uncovers stated or unstated needs.

  • Connects our understanding across business and HR to deliver data driven products and solutions
  • Provide meaningful and actionable insights and recommendations

Product Teams at Target are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology, discovery and design work.

As a Sr. Product Manager on the People Analytics team, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will focus on the development of scalable analytics products within our Workday ecosystem that connect our leaders with critical information about their teams to advance their understanding of team and decision-making capabilities. You will:

  • Become an expert in industry, business and product by developing a holistic viewpoint and identify product market fit.
  • Be accountable for key routines, in unison with appropriate partners, such as: discovery, value testing, prioritization, product roadmap creation and maintenance, and product lifecycle management
  • Ensures work aligns to the OKRs/metrics of the product. Creates corresponding data/analytics to track and control the health of the product and business impact. This includes functional and technical OKR/metrics.
  • Demonstrates agile and product principles through sprint execution, providing prioritized backlog of user stories with acceptance criteria including functional and technical considerations.
  • Participates in aligning necessary work from partners to achieve the value of their product (e.g. other products, engineering, UX teams, process teams, compliance/legal teams, security teams, and other business/technology stakeholders).
  • You will be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful.
  • Exhibit strong communication within immediate scrum team, and with key partners/end users of the product. Can demo and interact with customers/users and how they use a product, articulating its benefits
  • Encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization’s direction.
  • Foster sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours.

About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of product management experience or equivalent domain experience, preferably in experience in human resources, technology, data science, reporting or analytics Strong communication skills, building trust relationships with stakeholders, influencing teams across the organization, managing conflicts, and adapting to an ever-changing environment
  • Experience with analytics and ability to facilitate communication between business and analysts
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Proven ability to lead a body of work with cross-functional partners
  • Prior Product Management or Development experience within Workday, and experience in the People Analytics field is strongly preferred.

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as “Flex for Your Day”) work arrangement based on Target’s needs.  A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.  A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.

The pay range is $111,200.00 – $200,200.00

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.
