The Role

SUNY Polytechnic Institute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Life Coach to support student success and well-being. The Life Coach will work closely with students to develop personal, academic, and career goals, offering guidance on time management, stress reduction, motivation, and life balance. This role is integral to fostering a supportive campus environment that encourages holistic student development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to students on goal-setting, time management, and personal development.
  • Collaborate with campus departments to connect students with appropriate resources and services.
  • Design and facilitate workshops and group sessions focused on life skills and resilience.
  • Maintain accurate records and track student progress.
  • Support retention and student engagement initiatives.

Ideal Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Prior experience in coaching, mentoring, or student support services.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student empowerment.
  • You enjoy finding creative solutions to problems
  • You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
  • You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
