The HR Peoplesoft Developer is part of the HRIS team and reports to the Sr. Manager, HRIS.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, coding, testing, and debugging HR PeopleSoft applications using various programming languages (such as PeopleCode, SQL, SQR, and Application Engine).
  • Collaborating with business analysts and end-users to gather requirements and develop functional specifications for software enhancements or new features.
  • Customizing and configuring HR PeopleSoft modules to meet specific business needs.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to PeopleSoft applications, including performance optimization and bug fixes.
  • Integrating PeopleSoft with other systems or applications, ensuring data consistency and seamless information flow.
  • Conducting system upgrades, patches, and migrations, while ensuring minimal disruption to users.
  • Documenting technical specifications, coding standards, and system configurations for future reference.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing their inquiries, and resolving any software-related issues.
  • Staying up to date with the latest PeopleSoft features, tools, and best practices, and continuously improving programming skills.
  • Creating audits and reports based on PeopleSoft tables using SQL, PeopleSoft Query Manager, Tableau, or other reporting software.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related functional field), or equivalent experience required
  • 5-7 years of progressive HRIS experience implementing and supporting complex HR and/or payroll systems, including 3+ years of Workday HCM and Integration experience
  • 5+ years of HR PeopleSoft Payroll experience
  • Must have advanced PeopleSoft programming skills using various PeopleSoft provided tools such as PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Package, Application Engine, Integration Broker, workflow, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of PeopleSoft application Architecture
  • Strong understanding of the underlying table structures and where PeopleSoft data resides
  • Strong understanding of NVision and Crystal reports
  • Must be available to work after hours as needed to honor production support SLAs, project commitments, meet deadlines, and support business area needs
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve production issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to adapt to new technology
  • Advanced T-SQL knowledge
  • Ability to teach and mentor

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Databases, SQL, PeopleSoft, or Tableau is a plus

The annual base salary range for this position is from $99,445 to $157,144, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
