Hospitality Confidential is thrilled to continue growing our mighty core team of founding members! We are seeking a talented and highly qualified candidate to join us as a full time Recruitment Associate for permanent placement.

You will be responsible for meticulously sourcing & interviewing diverse pools of qualified candidates for our hospitality, culinary, restaurant, hotel and F&B clients. You will be also responsible for creating inclusive, accurate job descriptions and advertising them on various online job boards, social media platforms, and applicable professional affinity groups. Being successful in this role will require the ability to independently perform market research on national hospitality and F&B sectors and acclimate rapidly to changing priorities on your desk.

You will also be collaborating with a variety of executive hiring managers for evaluating the organization’s talent needs, providing relevant market insights, and garnering constant feedback throughout the search process. The job will require expert organizational skills and very timely correspondence and scheduling efficiently for clients and potential candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting Search Parameter meetings with interested clients and inquiring about the job’s function, qualifications, compensation and any other related matters.
  • Writing/creating inclusive blind ads and social media posts on behalf of clients.
  • Posting all job ads on various platforms and strategizing on other relevant sourcing tactics.
  • Market research in varied national cities or regions where clients are based.
  • Attending industry events, maintaining a working knowledge of hospitality and F&B trends, and consistently networking within the hospitality and F&B sector.
  • Sourcing and performing passive candidate outreach and building a strong bench of interested candidates from a variety of source with attention to detail and speed.
  • Developing alternative recruitment strategies if required.
  • Screening resumes and interviewing potential candidates on a regular basis.
  • Creating comprehensive and well written candidate profiles for client’s consideration and submitting them with urgency.
  • Preparing regular client updates and maintaining timely correspondence with clients and candidates.
  • Checking and preparing references.
  • Completing ongoing recruitment, DE&I, and unconscious bias training.
  • Communicating and interacting with teammates and managers with rigorous honesty, integrity, and respect.

Requirements

  • Must be able to commute to the office in Los Angeles daily during training and 2x a week thereafter.
  • Must be able to attend to necessary work responsibilities during the evening or weekend as an exempt salaried employee. 
  • 4+ years with a proven track record as a Staffing Agency Recruiter, Recruitment Coordinator, Corporate Recruiter, or Account Manager.
  • Exceptional organization skills and tendency to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Emotionally intelligent, diplomatic, and empathy driven personality.
  • Interest in equitable hiring practices and the DE&I field.
  • Prior experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, CRM’s, or other related recruitment software.
  • Fluency in: social media platforms, job boards, Google suite, Microsoft suite,
  • Strong written skills and excellent understanding of grammar.
  • Strong emotional intelligence with highly tuned verbal communication skills.
  • Preference for working in typical agency environments with competitive commission incentives for performance based results.

We would greatly appreciate

  • 2+ years of previous managerial or hourly experience in the hospitality or F&B field with a continued interest in and working knowledge of the business.
