We are seeking a talented Food Production Supervisor with a passion for baking and product development to oversee our client’s dessert production operations in South Amboy, NJ . This role is pivotal in ensuring the consistent quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes while fostering creativity and innovation in new product development. Pay Rate: DoE
Shift – Tuesday-Saturday 11 am - 8 pm
Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily production activities to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Lead and mentor a team of production staff, providing guidance and training in baking techniques and production procedures.
• Collaborate with R&D and culinary teams to develop new cannoli flavors, fillings, and packaging designs.
• Implement and optimize production schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely delivery of finished products.
• Monitor production metrics and analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Maintain inventory levels and liaise with procurement to ensure availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and company policies.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a food manufacturing environment, with a strong background in baking and product development.
• Knowledge of traditional and contemporary baking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve production goals while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
