Job Description

MISSION:

SUMMARY:

Perform Floor Technician duties in an efficient and effective manner. Reports to the site leadership team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform specified floor custodial work according to time schedules which may include:
    • mopping floors
    • polishing, stripping, and waxing floors
    • shampooing carpets
  • May be required to move furniture when performing floor custodial work
  • Maintain supplies and equipment under established procedures
  • Perform other specified floor custodial tasks as requested

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six-month experience with floor care work
  • Must be able to pass a background screening for access to the work areas
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years' experience with floor care work preferred

  • Good communication skills (e.g., able to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints)

  • Attentive to detail for quality performance.
  • If required to drive, a current driver’s license and clean driving record required. May be required to drive the personal vehicle during work hours. Not all individuals will have to drive for this position.

SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
  • Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently.
  • Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards).
  • Required inoculations and training provided by the company.
  • Some tasks may be performed independently with little supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following: repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 40 pounds. These requirements can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE)

Must be authorized to access and work on government installations.

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Some tasks require manual dexterity, In addition to visual and hearing acuity.

Availability: 5pm - 9pm

PT - Part-time

Rate of Pay 18.78

  • Full-time employees are eligible to participate in the 401k plan on the first of the month following their date of hire.

  • Part-time employees are eligible to participate in the 401k plan after one year of employment and based on the number of hours worked.

  • Paid vacation is available after one year of employment and based on the number of hours worked.

  • Paid sick days.
