Job Description



Our Distribution Center Supervisor oversees the picking and packing operations within the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment. This role includes maintaining high standards of workplace organization and cleanliness through 5S principles, providing training and development for team members, and fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily outbound operations, focusing on picking, packing, and shipping activities.

- Ensure orders are picked and packed accurately and efficiently to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing levels to meet operational demands.- Implement and maintain 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

- Provide training to new hires and ongoing training to existing staff on picking, packing, safety procedures, and equipment use.

- Monitor and evaluate team members' performance, providing feedback and coaching to enhance skills and productivity.

- Lead daily/weekly team meetings to discuss goals, performance, and any operational issues.

- Recognize and reward team members' achievements and contributions.

- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, productivity rates, and on-time shipping.

- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment; Investigate and report any workplace incidents or accidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

- Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits.

Qualifications



Qualifications

:

- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.

-Biligual Spanish

-Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

- Strong understanding of picking and packing processes and warehouse management systems (WMS).

- Knowledge and experience with 5S principles and implementation.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

Work Environment:

- Warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
