Job Description

Durkan Group is a full-service digital agency specializing in high-end web design and digital marketing. We live and breathe digital. Our individual personalities and expertise may differ, but we are all client-focused, creatively-inspired, and always driven to build experiences that matter.

Durkan Group is currently operating with a flexible, hybrid schedule, which gives our team the ability to work in the way that works best for them—at home (remote), in office, or a mix. We’re a team that thrives on working collaboratively and that feeds off each another’s creative ideas. We are seeking someone who will contribute to this dynamic and who can work within a 9-5 EST schedule, in a hybrid role with the ability to work 2-3 days per week out of our Malvern, PA office.

Durkan Group is seeking a Digital Marketing Director to spearhead and manage our in-house digital marketing strategies for the agency. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing campaigns that align with our Durkan Group’s business goals and objectives for the agency itself. This role will not directly involve client work.

As a Digital Marketing Director, you are a multi-disciplined brand strategist, thoughtful communicator, and natural self-starter who can dive headfirst into projects with autonomy and little direction. You have a strong curiosity for understanding our prospects as users and like to find opportunities to distill data into powerful truths. You feel at home connecting all the dots when developing a strategy in order to drive business growth across different customer segments and verticals.

Key responsibilities:

Spearhead and execute digital strategies across all channels to drive brand awareness and lead generation for Durkan Group.

Create and manage comprehensive marketing plans that include email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, social media marketing, and other digital marketing channels.

Manage our marketing automation database, implement data hygiene processes, and maintain positive email health.

Own, assess, and document approaches to lead scoring, contact segmentation, and personalization.

Create and maintain relevant SharpSpring and ZoomInfo workflows.
Collaborate with our design and development teams to ensure in-house digital marketing campaigns are visually compelling, user-friendly, and optimized for conversion.

Drive the strategy behind the creation of marketing materials including marketing emails, drip email campaigns, blog posts, case studies, brand presentations, and more.

Input and influence how to best market and sell Durkan Group to potential clients.

Analyze and report on key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement.

What we’d like to see:

5+ years of experience in digital marketing with a proven track record of developing and executing successful campaigns and the ability to lead the overarching marketing strategy.

Expertise in and a passion for the digital world—you keep a pulse on what’s happening, and you always have a point of view on how businesses should adapt accordingly.

Demonstrated experience building and optimizing marketing automation workflows.
A deep understanding of all the nuts and bolts of email marketing, from creating the strategy, copywriting, and editing, to building, testing, delivering, and reporting on email campaigns.

Ability to translate data into trends and provide actionable recommendations for the agency that aligns with our goals and that proactively scopes new opportunities.

Good instincts and a sense of ownership: We’re a small but nimble team, so we need a confident strategist who takes pride in their work and who can both brainstorm and execute smart ideas.

Nice to haves:

Working knowledge of HTML/CSS.

Experience using WordPress or similar CMS.

Demonstrated experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Tag Manager, preferably with Google certifications.

Demonstrated experience conducting keywords research, leveraging on-page SEO tactics to improve search rankings and user experience for agency content.

Comfortability writing longer forms of marketing materials, including blog posts, case studies, etc.

Perks and benefits:

Competitive salary based on experience.

Opportunity for quarterly bonuses.

Employer matched 401k after 1 year.

15-days of paid time off.

Flexible remote and in-person work model.

First Friday team building activities.

Referral bonuses.

Friday lunches for team members working in the office.

A creative work environment (oh, and we’re a team that uses Slack!)

Various dogs to pet.
