Our rapidly-growing construction company is in need of a creative, full-time CAD designer to bring our client’s dreams to life! You’ll serve as our primary architectural drafter and produce original, computer-generated designs in 2D and 3D. Additional responsibilities include meeting with clients, integrating feedback, and revising designs as requested. Communication skills are a must in this role, as you’ll be regularly communicating the design progress to the construction team. • Revise designs according to feedback from clients and construction managers
• Perform simulations and stress tests on all 3D models before prototyping
• Research material properties in large databases to identify the best materials for modeling
• Meet with clients during the beginning of the project to get project specifications and scope
• Create budgets and timelines for the design project by working with other construction team members

• Extensive knowledge of architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion
• Highly attuned to detail and possess excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
• Must have 2+ years of experience in architectural design
• Possess a firm grasp on the industry as a whole and stay up-to-date on evolving trends in architectural technologies
• 2-year degree or equivalent experience in architecture, design, construction engineering, or related field is desired
• Minimum 2 years of CAD drafting and detailing experience
