The Department of Forensic Science at Loyola University Maryland ( LUM ) invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track position as an Assistant Teaching Professor, beginning in August 2024.
We are looking for a candidate committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education at a dynamic liberal arts university. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their teaching and/or service, will contribute to LUM's stated goals of equity, inclusion, and justice of the academic community.We seek outstanding candidates who demonstrate the ability to teach introductory courses in our undergraduate and graduate forensic science programs. The successful candidate will teach four courses per term, including Introduction to Forensic Science and Biological Forensics, with the possibility of teaching upper-division classes. Candidates who can contribute courses related to pattern evidence, criminalistics, quality assurance/quality control, and/or criminal behavior will receive special consideration. The successful candidate should possess an awareness of and interest in high impact practices in line with the mission of Jesuit higher education. Faculty development opportunities are also available.
